Hurco Partners with Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing

As a sponsor of SFHR, the Hurco logo appears on the team's #67 car.

Hurco Companies, Inc. has finalized a sponsorship agreement with Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing (SFHR) for the balance of the 2013 IZOD IndyCar Series season. SFHR was established in 2008 and is owned by former driver Sarah Fisher, the youngest woman ever to compete in the Indianapolis 500 and the first woman to run a full IZOD IndyCar Series schedule, and businessman Wink Hartman. SFHR has competed in the IZOD IndyCar Series since 2008, earning its first victory in 2011 at Kentucky Speedway.

As part of the sponsorship agreement, Hurco installed a TMX8i slant-bed CNC lathe and a VMX42i CNC 3-axis mill at the team's machine shop located at the new SFHR facility in Speedway, IN. The state-of-the-art machine shop at the SFHR facility will give the team more control over their engineering projects and provide the manufacturing autonomy that is vital in the competitive world of IndyCar.

"Engaging a product sponsor like Hurco within our team allows us to grow to that next level," said SFHR Co-Owner Sarah Fisher. "Having the capabilities that their machines bring us gives us the opportunity to further expand on some of the engineering projects that are on our wish list."

As a sponsor, the Hurco logo is featured on the #67 car driven by Josef Newgarden and Hurco has VIP access to the team's race facilities that they will use to give customers behind-the-scenes track experiences.

"Actually, the sponsorship decision we made with Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing is due in large part to the success we have had with another IndyCar team out of Indianapolis," said Greg Volovic, President of Hurco. "Our experience with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing during the last three years has been outstanding and our customers have continually told us how much they appreciate the track experience and hospitality. We are excited to expand our involvement in racing with SFHR and we are honored they will be using our CNC machines to make precision parts."
