Materials Management Software

Granta Design offers the latest version of its flagship software, GRANTA MI Version 8, which offers tools for managing the interrelated materials data involved in manufacturing research for additive manufacturing projects.

According to the company, key features include:

  • The ability to store in-house and third party material information in one place, providing easy access to data across diverse user groups - from product design, to materials specialists, to supply chain
  • New template technology to speed up data input
  • Improved performance, including the ability to handle large files
  • The ability to access controlled materials data from within CAD, CAE and PLM environments
  • Access to a range of up-to-date materials reference data from leading data providers, linked to Granta's own MaterialUniverse dataset for ease of navigation
  • Next Generation Access Control, making it easy to manage multiple permissions and authorizations
  • Software tools for viewing and accessing data, fully configurable to provide different user groups with exactly the information that they need.

Additionally, Granta will soon be releasing a new GRANTA MI database schema designed specifically for the additive manufacturing community. "It will incorporate a wealth of knowledge and experience to provide an optimal tool for managing additive manufacturing data," said a company spokesperson.
