Sirois Tool Completes Expansion, Moves WEDM/EDM Department

Sirois Tool has completed the 5,000 sq. ft. addition to its current 20,000 sq. ft. facility. "The project, which began in June 2014, finished on schedule in November," said a company spokesperson. "This additional space will allow room for targeted future acquisitions and ongoing internal growth designed to meet our customers' needs."
As part of the expansion, the company's WEDM/EDM Department has moved into 1,800 sq. ft. of the addition. "This is nearly double the amount of space this department occupied in the original building," said the spokesperson. "The additional space allows room for the purchase of new EDM and WEDM equipment, with increased capacity and new capabilities. The expansion includes a separate HVAC system designed for more efficient temperature control, which is critical to close tolerance WEDM/EDM work, along with reliability and quality. A dedicated programming office and improved lighting system is also part of the addition's enhancements."
According to the company, the move of the WEDM/EDM department has also opened up room in the original building for a consolidated and more efficient Assembly/Inventory/Shipping Department, an expanded Quality Department, expanded office space and room to reorganize the shop floor for greater efficiency and growth.
