Non-Rotating Internal Spring Suspensions for Automation Industries

FIPA Inc. has released a new series of non-rotating internal spring suspensions. "Designed to compensate for height and level differences in direct vacuum cup mounting applications without the need for additional fittings, as well as to ensure the gentle placement of vacuum cups on workpieces, the new GR03 Series suspensions exhibit extreme resistance to dirt and damage to deliver long lifetime performance for diverse applications," said a company spokesperson.

Made of lightweight high-strength anodized aluminum, GR03 Series suspensions are thoroughly secured against rotation. "Features include: resilient, free-moving, smooth-running ball guides that absorb strong forces to achieve high load capacity; several different spring stroke limitations, which further contribute to a long service life; and rugged internal springs that are reliably sealed against contaminants (such as dust), making them ideal for use in a broad range of harsh manufacturing automation industries, including plastics, metals, glass, wood and even food," said the spokesperson. Available with either a smooth clampable body or a male threaded body to facilitate flexible, easy integration into existing EOAT systems, the new suspensions also feature an internal air feed-through to expedite vacuum hose connections and are compatible with an array of vacuum cup connections.

FIPA's clamp-mounting GR03 Series suspensions are available in three diameters (10, 14 and 20 mm), six stroke lengths spanning 10 - 50 mm and weigh between 0.25 oz. and 2.82 oz. Threaded GR03 Series spring suspensions are available in four diameters (M5, G1/8, G1/4 and G3/8), 10 stroke lengths spanning 10 - 80 mm and weigh between 0.39 oz. and 8.29 oz.
