Advanced 5-Axis VMC

Victor Taichung's new 5-axis vertical machining center (VMC), the Vcenter-AX800, features a 30 HP swivel head and 31.4" diameter rotary table. Travels are 62" x 27" x 25" (vertical) and 39" (horizontal). The fixed table work area is 49" x 31.5". Standard spindle speed is 15,000 RPM with BBT-40, SK-40 or HSK-A63 tooling system.

There are three types of construction for the 5-axis machines:

  • Vcenter-AX350 is a rotary table type (trunnion type with 2 axes in table) featuring high spindle acceleration. According to the company, it offers easy installation for machine builders and is designed for small parts (<20" in diameter).
  • Vcenter-AX800 features a rotary table C-axis + swivel head B-axis and moving column with a fixed table. It is designed for medium sized parts (20" - 40" in diameter).
  • Horizontal Vcenter-H1000 or double column VMC tilting head type (2-axis in head) features a big and heavy headstock (slow rapid feed and acc/dec). It is designed for large parts (>40" in diameter).
