The Twin 150 Powder Feeder from Oerlikon Metco is designed to meet the needs of many different powder-fed manufacturing processes.
The Twin 150 from Oerlikon Metco is designed to be a versatile and accurate volumetric powder feeder that can be used as a stand-alone unit or integrated into a thermal spray, laser cladding or powder additive manufacturing system. Using precise volumetric feeding principles similar to that of its predecessor, the Twin 10-C, the Twin 150 readily integrates into powder fed manufacturing processes.
The unit can be used in three modes: stand-alone (manual operation); remote on/off, where an external mechanism, such as a robot or process controller, turn powder feeding on or off; or full remote mode using UDP/IP or PROFIBUS, which allows full control of the feeder's functions from an external control system.
The unit has two powder hoppers, which can be used independently or simultaneously, adding to the versatility of this product. Moreover, the company offers a wide range of options for the Twin 150 feeder that allows the user to customize the feeder for use with different types of powders fed over a range of feedrates.
