Air Actuated Universal-Mount Nozzle Assembly

BEX air actuated nozzle assemblies are available in T-tip and atomizing configurations.

BEX Incorporated has introduced a new series of universal-mount nozzle assemblies. "Unlike other nozzle designs, the BEX design, available in both T-Tip and atomizing configurations, feature a universal mounting system that allows - in a multi-nozzle line - one nozzle, not the entire line of nozzles to be removed for quick disconnect maintenance and/or replacement," said a company spokesperson. "The unique design uses a set screw assembly and mounting slot to affix the nozzle to the line as opposed to the closed-loop guide of other similarly designed nozzles."

The atomizing nozzles mix air and liquid supplied at line pressures of up to 125 PSI. The self-contained air cylinder provides controlled on/off operation at any desired frequency up to 180 cycles per minute. The nozzles come in a choice of round, wide angle round and flat spray patterns and are made in nickel-plated brass or stainless steel and are built to provide uniform distribution of the atomized spray.

BEX air atomizing spray nozzles use compressed air or gas to produce and control liquid dispersion in applications where a conventional spray nozzle would not be suitable, according to the company. The packings and gaskets in the nozzle withstand continuous use at temperatures up to 400°F (205°C) and the air cylinder packing is recommended for temperatures up to 150°F (65°C). Typical applications include food processing, humidification, cooling, air pollution control, coating processes, lubrication, curing, chemical dispersion and others.
