A New Way to Measure Small Parts

SNAP is designed to complete accurate complex measurements in seconds with no moving parts using its large field optical system and Auto I.D. capabilities. Place the part on the stage, select the routine and press the GO button.

"The QVI SNAP is an easy-to-use, compact benchtop digital measuring machine rugged enough for the shop floor," said a company spokesperson. "SNAP's telecentric fixed optics ensure that parts will measure the same size anywhere within the depth of field. An LED backlight, square-on toplight and multi-color ring light allow users to select the optimum lighting for any situation. SNAP's exclusive Zoom Anywhere technology allows the operator to zoom in and measure details anywhere in the viewing area without touching the part while its integral software enables it to import complex CAD models for effortless programming and measurement results.

"SNAP can easily measure any part within its generous 78 mm field of view. SNAP's high resolution digital camera with digital zoom capability enables multiple measurements to be made in the field of view simultaneously at any one of the six zoom levels - all without moving the part.

"With the SNAP, staging parts is simple, calibration is automatic and complete measurements are virtually instantaneous."
