Interfacial, a Nagase Group company and provider of advanced materials innovation, has announced a strategic partnership with CEAD, a specialist in large-scale additive manufacturing (LFAM) technology. This collaboration marks a significant step in Interfacial's mission to provide integrated, application-driven material solutions for LFAM and beyond.

Through this partnership, Interfacial becomes a CEAD material tier supplier. Strategic access to a CEAD Flexbot system installed locally at Stack3D will allow Interfacial to rapidly evaluate, validate, and refine custom thermoplastic materials and functional composites for a wide range of LFAM applications, including:

  • Architectural facades, interior design and canopy structures
  • Retail and hospitality environments
  • Large-scale exterior and bespoke projects
  • Marine, motorsports, and industrial tooling.
  • By pairing Interfacial's expertise in functional compounds and scalable manufacturing platforms with CEAD's leading robotic 3D printing and CNC milling technology, the partnership enables end-to-end development of LFAM-ready materials tailored for high performance and design flexibility.

"Collaborating with CEAD allows us to close the gap between formulation and production-ready solutions," said JP Masson, VP of Sales at Interfacial. "Together, we can deliver faster development, better performance, and broader adoption of LFAM technology."

A key element of this partnership is the establishment of a regional LFAM innovation hub. It is powered by CEAD's Flexbot technology, installed locally at Stack3D, a provider of turn-key 3D printing services, and supported by Interfacial's materials and processing capabilities. The hub will serve as a platform where customers can engage in full-cycle material evaluation, print trials, and application support.

"This partnership gives our clients a powerful advantage-access to both material science and LFAM hardware expertise-all aligned to real-world project requirements," added Masson.

With growing demand for large-format additive solutions in sectors from construction to industrial manufacturing, the Interfacial-CEAD partnership is focused on developing scalable, sustainable materials that unlock new applications and drive innovation across industries.

"This is a strategic leap forward," said Andrea Baldolini, Head of Sales at CEAD. "By collaborating closely with Interfacial, we are aligning machine performance with material behavior from the ground up. This synergy enables us to serve new markets more effectively, with faster development cycles and the ability to create tailored materials for specific industries and applications."
