Monaghan Tooling Group offers Vergnano H Series Solid Carbide Taps, which are designed to provide high-performance tapping capabilities for demanding materials such as hardened steel, nonferrous metals, superalloys, and more.
Manufactured from micrograin carbide and engineered with advanced geometries and coatings, Series H taps are available from 3 mm to 16 mm (.118" to .63"), for blind hole and through-hole applications. Six tap families are purpose built for a specific combination of hole type, thread form, and material group. All are engineered to provide increased tool life, process reliability, and thread quality.

HB29 is a general-purpose cutting tap for 3 mm to 10 mm (0.118" to .394") blind holes in medium to long chipping material like cast iron, aluminum, and aluminum alloys.
HB43 and HB45 are high-performance machine taps with through coolant for 3 mm to 16 mm (0.118" to .63") blind hole tapping applications in short chipping material like cast iron and cast aluminum.
HB80 is a cold forming tap with oil grooves for 3 mm to 10 mm (0.118" to .394") blind holes or through holes for chip free threading in alloy steels and other difficult materials.
HB81 is a fine pitch cold forming tap with oil grooves for 8 mm to 16 mm (0.315" to .63") blind holes or through holes for mild and stainless steels, aluminum and aluminum alloys, and nickel and nickel alloys.
H130 is a cold forming tap for 3 mm to 12 mm (0.118" to .472") blind holes or through holes for medium chipping materials like hardened steel.
