Drill Bits for Structural Steel
April 1, 2026
The Ocean Penetrator drill bit features oil coolant holes that run through the drill bit, cooling the center of the drill as it drills structural steel profiles, including beams, channel, angle, plates, tube, and more.
"Our customers average anywhere from 300 to 500 holes per sharpening, and are able to get more than 100 sharpenings per drill bit," said a company spokesperson. "This yields in excess of 30,000 holes per bit, resulting in significant savings and improved overall fabricating profitability."
The Ocean Penetrator's cobalt coating further improves the drilling speed, increases the number of holes that can be drilled before resharpening, and increases overall profitability, the company reported.
