SOUTH-TEC 2013 Moves to Greenville, SC

The SOUTH-TEC manufacturing event will be held October 29-31, 2013, in Greenville, SC, at the TD Convention Center. The event will highlight the latest manufacturing technologies offered by hundreds of exhibiting companies.

"Exhibitors participate in SOUTH-TEC to showcase their most innovative products to an audience with serious purchase intentions," said a spokesperson. "The Greenville location, in the center of the southeastern manufacturing corridor, connects exhibitors with thousands of current customers and qualified prospects."

"The southeast is in the middle of a major manufacturing resurgence," said Cathy Kowalewicz, SOUTH-TEC Event Manager. "There is no better market to target and no better way to reach high-level buyers than exhibiting at SOUTH-TEC."

Manufacturers in the region attend SOUTH-TEC to research and buy equipment and services that can help their companies grow. They make side-by-side comparisons of technologies offered by manufacturing suppliers, distributors and equipment builders from across North America and around the world.

"There is only so much you can learn about machine tools and manufacturing technology from a catalog or website," said Kowalewicz. "The best way to evaluate new technology is to see it in person, touch it and speak directly to the people who design and manufacture it."

SOUTH-TEC also offers attendees the opportunity to stay abreast of the latest manufacturing topics. Panel discussions and resource centers provide the latest information on workforce development, supply chain optimization, manufacturing readiness level assessment and additive manufacturing. New product presentations illustrate how the product will solve a challenge, improve a process or save money.

"We are looking forward to the exchange of new ideas, new technologies and new collaborations at this year's SOUTH-TEC," said Kowalewicz "The face-to-face interaction between buyers and sellers will help forge the business relationships that can generate new opportunities for years to come."

SOUTH-TEC is a biennial event held in major manufacturing markets in the southeast. More than 4,000 manufacturing professionals are expected to attend the event in October.
