U-Grind
Strausak, a member of Rollomatic Holding, will debut a new flexible, high-accuracy 5-axis CNC tool grinder, U-Grind, during IMTS 2016. The new re-designed model 5-axis tool and cutter grinding machine features the NUMROTO Plus tool design and grinding software.
U-Grind features include:
- Thermal stability to facilitate consistent and accurate small batch production and regrinding, as well as a unique design for precision tool grinding.
- Two different optional loaders are available. Small-batch loader and full robotic automation.
- Standard automatic wheel changer, direct-drive grinding spindle 12 kW (17 HP) and optional auto loader.
- Automatic quick-change system for collet change and for changing basic toolholder ISO-50 taper.
- Optional touch probe for grinding wheel qualification.
- NUM Fleximum control and the latest generation of NUMROTOplus tool grinding software.
