Victor Taichung Machinery will feature a 5-axis vertical machining center (VMC) and a multitasking turning center at IMTS 2016.
Vcenter-AX800 5-axis Vertical Machining Center
The Vcenter-AX800 5-axis VMC is equipped with a swivel head on the traveling column to perform 5-axis machining on large parts (diameter up to 39.4") with the rotary table built next to the fixed table.
A 40 tool twin arm type ATC performs quick tool changeover. A 40 tool magazine is included as standard and is also available with 60 tools.
A swivel head (B-axis) features a built-in spindle with 29.5 HP and 15,000 RPM with a roller gear mechanism to minimize backlash and provide accuracy at an arbitrary angle. A hirth coupling is included as standard to clamp the swivel spindle at every 1° indexing to enhance structure rigidity for heavy milling and drilling. A BCV-40 tooling system offers additional clamping to reduce spindle run-out at high RPM.
A roller-cam-drive rotary table features O31.5" (C-axis) with loading capacity of 2,640 lbs. for loading big or heavy parts. Optional 8+1 hydraulic/pneumatic ports are available to direct the power through the C-axis and pallet for multiple point clamping. Air sealing detection can also be implemented to assure clamping quality.
A 49.2" x O31.5" fixed table extends the application on 3- or 4-axis machining. With the C-axis clamped by brake, the fixed table and rotary table accommodate heavy parts up to 5,280 lbs. A longer fixed table of 82.7" x 31.5" is available as an option to load another rotary table (A-axis) with tailstock for alternative applications.
Vturn-Q200 Multitasking Turning Center
The Vturn-Q200 multitasking turning center is equipped with twin spindles with 33.5 HP built-in FANUC spindle motors.
The machine features three turrets for quick and quantitative production with less floor space. Three BMT-55 type milling turrets with Y-axis are included. The T2Y2 model with upper-lower turrets, both with Y-axis, will be on display.
This turning center has 48 live tools (three turret model) for both OP-10 and OP-20 machining applications for quick tool exchange.
For improved productivity, the turning center can be equipped with a barfeeder and parts catcher.
Victor Taichung's NC package with 15" LCD is included as standard for three turret models. The 3-D cutting simulation can be executed in Manual Guide i, and 2-D online cutting on both spindles can be done simultaneously. A FANUC "air bag" function has been integrated into the NC package to minimize damage caused by faulty operation.
FANUC a type motors are used for feed axes to assure quick response for high performance.
