Machines for Increased Production to be Showcased



Matsuura Machinery USA, Inc. will showcase six machines at IMTS 2016. Matsuura will exhibit the H.Plus-400 horizontal machining center (HMC), the LX-160 high speed linear motor machine, the MX-850 5-axis vertical machining center (VMC), the MAM72-35V 5-axis vertical machining center and the V.Plus-550 vertical machining center.

"The Matsuura H.Plus HMCs are highly productive machine tools with speed, rigidity and precision. The H.Plus series delivers long periods of reliable, unmanned operation, accuracy and efficient production," said a company spokesperson.

"All models in the H.Plus Series offer tool and pallet storage options, which can be expanded upon. These options can be retrofitted in the field, with minimum machine downtime," said the spokesperson.

The H.Plus-400 is equipped with a #40 taper spindle, 15.74" X 15.74" pallet and standard 15,000 RPM spindle. An optional 20,000 RPM spindle is available.

A direct drive rotary table is an option on the H.Plus-400. This rotary table attains a maximum feed rate of 100 RPM. Indexing time of the 4th axis can be reduced 40% using Matsuura's Dynamic Clamp System, along with, Automatic Acceleration and Deceleration Control.

The LX-160 high grade vertical linear motor machine is equipped with linear motors in all axes for machining with speed and precision. The Matsuura LX-160 is built for the medical and aerospace industries with fast cutting and micro tools up to 46,000 RPM.

"A feature of the LX-160 is its ability to machine a variety of parts fitting into an 8.5" by 6" cylinder. Additional options include: 2 or 42 pallets, 52-338 tools, maximum workpiece size of 6.3" diameter X 9.06" and part capacity of 45 lbs.," said the spokesperson.

"The LX-160 is designed with a focus on small workpiece processing and unmanned operation with the available pallet changer options," said the spokesperson.

"The MX-850 is compactly built, and features a sufficient machining area and workability. In addition to a standard spindle of 12,000 RPM, optional spindles of 20,000 RPM for high speed machining or 15,000 RPM for heavy duty machining are also offered," said the spokesperson.

The Matsuura MAM72-35V features 5-axis machining with one-chucking for unmanned operation.

The Matsuura V.Plus-550(N) will feature a table work surface of 33.85" by 15.74" and a table loading capacity of 880 lbs. In addition, the Maxia spindle speed range of the V.Plus-550(N) is 50-15,000 RPM and includes the direct drive system. Standard tool storage capacity is 30 tools. The V.Tech-550(N) will include the G-Tech 30i NC System as standard.
