nanoPrecision Appoints V.P. of Marketing and Business Development

Xavier Clairardin

nanoPrecision Products has named fiber optics industry veteran Xavier Clairardin Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. In this newly created position, Clairardin will be responsible for launching the company's next generation fiber optical interconnects and fiber optic component packages, while also driving new markets for its nanoBench technology platform.

"Xavier joins nanoPrecision Products at an exciting and pivotal time for the company. We are about to launch a new generation of fiber optical interconnects and component packages that we believe will transform the industry," said Michael K. Barnoski, Ph.D., Founder and Chief Executive Officer. "His depth of knowledge and experience in the field and his track record of growing successful businesses make him an ideal addition to our team."

Clairardin has decades of leadership experience in the international fiber optics industry. He joined nanoPrecision Products from FCI (acquired by Amphenol in early 2016), where he served as Director of Optical Solutions for the company's HSIO business unit. Prior to FCI, he was Vice President of Product Marketing and Sales for Kotura (acquired by Mellanox in 2013). He has also held senior executive positions with NKT Integration, a division of NKT, Denmark, as well as AION Photonics, and he co-founded Molex Fiber Optics. Clairardin holds a MSEE from Ecole Centrale Lille in France and has received five patents in fiber optics.
