Tru-Cut Saw Increases PVD Coating Center Capacity

Tru-Cut Saw, Inc., along with PLATIT's custom coating division, has developed and installed the largest PVD coating chamber in the world, dedicated for coating metalcutting circular saw blades up to 56", according to a spokesperson.

The new PLATIT PL2011 at Tru-Cut Saw sits alongside the company's PL1001 and PL2001 PVD coating chambers in the saw blade production facility in Brunswick, OH. This high capacity PVD chamber increases daily coating capacity by 225% and extends overall coating diameter from 50" to 56". In the fall the company will install additional CNC grinding machines in the saw blade production center to help speed up throughput in the coating center.

"The higher coating capacity and the latest grinding and coating technology provide our customers long cutting life and faster delivery time of new and repaired metalcutting saw blades," said the spokesperson.
