G-Zero CNC, a complete precision machining company based in Nampa, ID, has expanded its production of advanced parts with the addition of a HERMLE C 250. The investment supports the company's growing work in aerospace, medical, firearms, and space industries.
Founded nearly 20 years ago by President David Hannah, G-Zero CNC grew from a two-machine operation into a thriving business with 11 machines and 15 employees. The company's capabilities include 5-axis, horizontal, and vertical machining as well as lathe work, laser engraving, and processing.
In recent years, the company strategically pushed towards industries that demand exceptional precision and cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities.
The addition of the HERMLE has been a big milestone for us," Hannah said. "It is where we have wanted to be, as a manufacturing facility that can handle anything thrown at us."
On the shop floor, the HERMLE C 250 is already making an impact.
"Before we had the HERMLE, we could never make certain parts because they were too tight in tolerance," explained John Whitmore, Production Manager. "Now we can take on jobs we would have had to turn down. I know if I put a part on it, it is going to come out good, even down to micron tolerances."
With sales increasing nearly 50% in the past year, G-Zero CNC recently moved into a new 11,000 sq. ft. facility, allowing for a more streamlined production process and further expansion capabilities. The company set a five-year plan to double its output, with advanced technology like the HERMLE at the center of that strategy.
