Cut & Grind Wheels Deliver Speed, Toughness and Versatility

3M Abrasive Systems announced the newest addition to its Cubitron II lineup-3M Cubitron II Cut & Grind Wheels. "With 3M's precision shaped grains, these cut & grind wheels help operators blast through more tough jobs faster, and without changing wheels", said a company spokesperson.

"These new wheels, along with other recent additions to the line, like our flap discs and new flexible belt, make our portfolio of Cubitron II products very well rounded, with solutions for almost any grinding need," said Dan Cunningham, Director of Sales and Marketing, 3M Abrasive Systems Division.

Cubitron II Cut & Grind wheels are designed to be used like both a depressed center grinding wheel and as a cut-off wheel for applications including cutting, grinding, notching, gouging, fillet weld removal and beveling of mild steel and stainless steel. The technology also helps the wheels last longer, removing almost twice as much material in the same amount of time. Finally, the wheels cut with less pressure, so they help provide control and potentially reduce operator fatigue.

The precision-shaped grains used in Cubitron II products enable the abrasive to slice through metal. "3M's precision-shaped grains continuously fracture as they wear, forming sharp points and edges that wear evenly and provide long life and consistency under normal grinding pressure", said the spokesperson.
