5-Axis Vertical Machining Center Suited for Moldmakers

Okuma has introduced its MU-6300V VMC engineered for high accuracy and high productivity for 5-axis multi-sided machining, and is therefore suited for moldmakers. "The MU-6300V has a highly rigid and accurate double column structure and low center of gravity in workpiece movement (trunnion table) that enables both heavy-duty cutting and high-speed finishing," said a company spokesperson.
The MU-6300V comes equipped with Okuma's exclusive Super-NURBS enabling high feedrates with ultra-fine finishes. This reduces the need for hand polishing molds. The machine is built using Okuma's Thermo-Friendly Concept.

- C-Axis: 360 infinite degrees
- Rapid Traverse: X, Y, Z: 50 m/min (1,968 IPM)

- Maximum Load: 600 kg (1,320 lb.)
