High Speed Coolant Driven Spindles

ISCAR has introduced SPINJET, a range of coolant driven, high-speed spindles. These spindles are designed for achieving the high RPM that is needed to properly apply micro cutting tools (3 mm diameters and smaller).

The system utilizes the machine tool's existing coolant supply (20-40 Bar) as an effective energy source to rotate an integral turbine at speeds from 20,000 to 60,000 RPM. The increase in RPM leads to an overall increase in feed rate (IPM), which helps reduce machining times up to 70%.

The SPINJET spindles are equipped with an integrated wireless display system to provide RPM feedback; they are designed for semi-finish/finish milling, drilling and grinding applications.
