Metalworking Fluid Approved for Use at Boeing

CIMCOOL Fluid Technology has announced that CIMTECH 320Z with InSol Technology, a synthetic metalworking fluid, received approval under Boeing BAC5008 RevU. CIMTECH 320Z is designed for heavy-duty machining of non-ferrous and ferrous metals including 6000 and 7000 series aluminum, stainless steels, titanium and other exotic alloys. It can also be used for grinding and is designed to deliver extended sump life and cleanliness by rejecting tramp oil and limiting residues and oily mist. The product is designed to increase tool life and provide lubricity while remaining low foaming in high pressure applications.

According to the company, CIMTECH 320Z with InSol Technology is transparent and offers the machine operator part visibility, it is mild to the skin with a near neutral pH and contains no DCHA. CIMTECH 320Z is stain resistant when tested on 6000 and 7000 series aluminum, titanium and stainless steel alloys.

"CIMCOOL Fluid Technology has developed a performance fluid for customers looking for high productivity, even when machining titanium and hard metal alloys. CIMTECH 320Z is a great example of how we support customers in the aerospace industry using technology approved by Boeing. We are honored to support such an outstanding company and look forward to continuing our relationship in the upcoming years," said Kyle Walker, Aerospace Product Manager.
