WinTool Now Available on the Machining Cloud

WinTool customers can now access complete and up-to-date cutting tool data from leading manufacturers on the Machining Cloud. Customers can download descriptive usage and geometric information directly into their shop floor software.

"In the last 20 years, machine shops have moved production preparation and programming continuously to the virtual world," said Marc Holthuizen, Director of Sales at WinTool Switzerland. "The challenge has become to match information used in virtual production with the continuously changing situation in the real machine shop. WinTool closes the gap between the virtual and the real production. The Machining Cloud closes the gap between the suppliers and the production plant. Together, this package is a turbo charger for any CNC machine shop."

"While customers will see a big productivity improvement using the app for selecting cutting tool items and building assemblies, there is an even bigger benefit from the Machining Cloud's ability to feed the product data directly into their shop software," said St├ęphane Julien, Cloud Evangelist for the Machining Cloud GmbH. "By utilizing cloud technology and industry standards, including ISO13399, STEP, GTC and MTConnect, the Machining Cloud is capable of serving up-to-date product data to virtually any shop floor software or system."
