Hygrade Precision Technologies Acquisition

Hygrade Precision Technologies has been acquired by Pedro Soto. Previously owned by John A. Salce', the company will now operate as Hygrade Precision Technologies, LLC. Hygrade serves the aerospace, automotive, commercial, homeland security, medical and power generation industries.

"This transaction opens an exciting new chapter and direction for Hygrade," said a company spokesperson. "It puts the organization in a strong position to invest and grow for the future. The current team will remain in place and plans are underway for investment in both talent and equipment to further support our customers' increasing needs."

Soto has a strong background in aerospace manufacturing. In 1970, Soto's father, John Soto, founded Space-Craft Manufacturing in Milford, CT, a Tier 1 contract manufacturer of aerospace components for companies such as GE Aviation and Pratt & Whitney. Soto joined in 2007 and assumed control of operations a few years later. While at Space-Craft Manufacturing, Soto used the services of companies such as Hygrade.

Hygrade is known as a "Single Source Metal Finisher" and maintains many niche services as well as complete machining capabilities. Hygrade's capabilities and services include I.D./O.D. grinding, flat lapping and flat grinding, CNC multi-axis machining and testing and inspection services, including CMM inspection and surface temper etch.
