New Large-Field-of-View Digital Measuring Machine

The QVI SNAP DM350 digital measuring machine offered by RAM Optical Instrumentation is the newest member of the QVI SNAP family, extending large-field-of-view measurement to a variety of large format parts up to 350 x 350 mm in size. "SNAP DM350 has a telecentric dual magnification optical system designed to allow quick and simple measurement of features up to 4 inches across in a single snapshot, while the high optical magnification provides the resolution needed for accurate small feature measurement," said a company spokesperson.

Pairing large-field-of-view technology with its motorized XY translation stages allows the SNAP DM350 to measure large parts or groups of parts. "SNAP DM350 can identify and automatically measure parts placed anywhere on its expansive stage glass whether fixtured or not," said the spokesperson. "Like all QVI SNAP measuring machines the SNAP DM350 has a long depth of field, which ensures that parts in the field of view are in focus.

"Besides its standard features and functions, SNAP DM350 is also available with an optional high density camera providing additional resolution for ultra-fine feature measurements. An available touch probe enables accurate Z-height measurements to complete full part characterization."
