Magnetic Sweepers Provide Convenience and Safety for Plant Maintenance

Magnetic sweepers from Master Magnetics Inc. are built to provide safety and efficiency advantages designed to allow plant maintenance professionals to work smarter, while keeping overall costs lower.

Magnetic sweepers benefits include:

  • Reduction of personal injury - loose or sharp debris on floors can lead to falls, cuts or puncture wounds
  • Prevention of property damage - nails or scrap metal in shops, work bays, warehouse aisles and roadways can result in tire and vehicle damage
  • Faster clean-up - powerful magnetic sweepers quickly collect large quantities of metal items or scraps
  • Reclaiming of usable items - nails, screws and other metal components are easily retrieved and kept separate from other types of debris.

Master Magnetics has a wide selection of push, hang and trailer-type magnetic floor sweepers. The super-powered, permanent magnet assemblies ranging from 12 to 96" in width are enhanced for the fast and efficient removal of potentially damaging scrap metal debris.

Magnetic sweepers are suitable for warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, runways, manufacturing and shop areas, jobsites, workshops and other traffic areas. Small push-type sweepers to large hang-type sweepers are offered.

Sweeper options available are:

  • Hang-type - These 36 and 48" hang-type sweepers feature a quick release handle for simple and safe release of collected material. Includes two eyebolts for securing in place on forklift forks or to suspend with a chain from a vehicle. Powerful strength allows for quick and effective sweeping of large areas.
  • Push-type - The push-type sweeper comes in nine different styles, both with and without release, for quick clean-up of small to medium-size areas. Ranging in width from 12 to 36", these sweepers easily keep work areas safe and maintained.
  • Trailer-type - Available in 6 or 8' sweeping widths, these heavy-duty magnetic sweepers quickly clear tramp iron from streets, construction sites, runways, steel mills, welding sites and more. The heavy steel frame with adjustable hitch can withstand rough conditions. This model is designed to operate at road speeds up to 50 MPH between jobs, and up to 10 MPH during sweeping.
  • Trailer/hang-type - This versatile magnetic sweeper can be used in three different configurations. Either tow-behind a vehicle, mount to forklift or hang from vehicle to clear driveways, factory aisles, trucking terminals, parking lots, construction sites and more. Works over any terrain, in any weather condition. Five widths are available, from 48 to 96".

Video of magnetic sweepers in use is available on its website.
