Shamrock Precision Expands to Aerospace/Defense Markets

Shamrock Precision, a large manufacturers of machined precision shear screws and quality-critical mechanisms produced for a variety of customers, has successfully delivered the company's initial grouping of specialized components to the aerospace industry.

Precision parts destined for aircraft and helicopter platforms, including the F-16, C-130, Bell 206 and others, were delivered by Shamrock in February 2020. These deliveries formally mark the planned transition from strictly focusing on energy products to now including a portfolio of key customers and critical machined parts in the aerospace and defense markets. This strategic realignment occurred as Shamrock continues to focus on economically sustainable and incremental growth as it moves into its 40th year of operations in Dallas.

CEO Corbin Embrey said, "The successful delivery of our initial aerospace offerings positions Shamrock Precision to further service the aerospace and defense markets. With our significant commitment and expertise in providing state-of-the-art products, processes and leading-edge services to many industrial sectors, this is an essential step in expanding our business reach. Our desire is to address the needs of our customers in the growing aerospace, defense and military markets, in addition to the other markets we serve. Shamrock's latest efforts will greatly increase our opportunity to work with both aerospace and defense contractors as well as to secure contract work directly with the OEMs."

Founded in 1981, Shamrock initially focused on stocking commonly used hardware items such as bolts, screws and fasteners. "By providing excellent and flexible service to our customers, successfully added capabilities in the precision turned components industry," said a company spokesperson.

Over the next 30 years, Shamrock expanded to a second location in Malaysia strategically located to support global industries with quality machining and dependable products. Shamrock has built a scalable platform for growth in the precision turned parts industry. "By focusing on high quality and fast cycle times, Shamrock delivers high quality machined and milled components to diverse industries worldwide, including aerospace, defense, oil field services, medical and telecommunications," said the spokesperson.

In addition to the introduction of aerospace, Shamrock Precision is now officially International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) registered. This registration by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) marks another milestone for the company as a manufacturer of machined products to its military and defense customers.
