Inverted Spindle Production Lathe

Pronto 6 inverted spindle lathe

"Pronto in Italian means 'ready,' which is an ideal word to describe Famar's Pronto 6 inverted spindle lathes, which are highly functional and ready-to-use," said a spokesperson.

The spokesperson continued, "From design to delivery, every phase is controlled, to offer a machine tool intended to satisfy the customer's production requirements with precision and speed. Starting from the machine base, through the integral spindles and turrets, and ending with the operational accessibility, everything is designed to offer excellent performance, guaranteeing the highest safety standards."

The Famar Pronto product range is divided into three models that consist of 5", 6" and 8" ASA spindles. "The strengths of these production lathes are stability, dynamic axes and ease of use. They turn out to be the ideal choice for both small and large production and are able to satisfy all types of machining requirements," said the spokesperson.

The Pronto 6 is equipped standard with a chip conveyor, 6" chuck, pallet loading and unloading conveyor, 12-position live tool turret and X-axis linear scale.

The Pronto 6 vertical lathe is made with the Famar base manufactured from electro-welded steel frame filled with a cement polymer conglomerate that provides rigidity, thermal stability and dampening properties.

The exclusive Famar turret, built in-house, is flanged directly to the bedframe, this ensures extreme rigidity and stability during metal removal operations. Torque, power and RPM are resulting to be up to three times higher than the top performing models on the market.

The Famar integral spindle, also manufactured in-house, is thermostabilized in the bearing area and near the motor and allows the installation of asynchronous and synchronous motors (higher torque even at low RPM). For the C-axis, a hydraulic braking system, directly on the spindle nose, offers greater efficiency and rigidity. A direct measuring system ensures maximum accuracy at positioning.

Automation technology available on all Pronto models includes a pallet conveyor ring set up on the right or left side depending on the machine configuration, and allows the loading of raw and finished parts before and after machining.

Select Production Technologies (SPT) is the exclusive importer of Famar and Fausto Marinello integrated machining solutions for high-volume production.
