Automated "Pusher" Bandsaw

Quicksilver Engineering offers the Bandsaw Cut Master, a cutting solution for efficient custom and production cutting. According to the company, Cut Master performs fast, automated cutting with minimal operator supervision.

"Cut Master's ability to cut any menu of lengths make it valuable to fabricating shops cutting a variety of parts. Its speed and ease of operation make it attractive for mass production," said a company spokesperson.

Cutting is done automatically with agile air cylinders that vise material and control the saw arm. The operator loads stock on the infeed, sets the controls, and Cut Master does the rest, reducing operator cost.

Cut Master is built around quality Kalamazoo, Victor, Bolton or Rung Fu 10" saws with operator safety features. The machine cuts 10" rounds and rectangles up to 18" wide. Cut Master is built ruggedly from steel.

"Cutting machines typically lack an infeed section for feeding material into the machine, and an outfeed section for handling cut parts coming out. Cut Master includes standard infeed and outfeed sections for handling stock material," said the spokesperson. The infeed has a positioning bar that pushes material stock through the saw in one measured stroke. The pusher feeds the material quickly, decelerating to the cut length in one operation. It handles a full 20' long stock, cuts any length and is accurate to .001". Rollers guide the stock through the saw and manage bowed material. The 10' outfeed supports the part being cut, then drops away after the cut to channel parts into bins.

Cut Master has features that result in full use of material. It cuts stock material down to a 1/4" remnant, reducing waste and avoiding operator intervention to process stock ends. It easily cuts different lengths from stock material to reduce the length of scrap ends and increase material yield.

The touch panel is a simple, intuitive control panel with 100 lines of memory. Enter cut lengths and quantities and the machine will cut up the material, and then reset for more cutting.

User friendly controls allow both automatic and manual cutting, material positioning and inch/centimeter measurements. There is a control button that makes end cuts. A parts counting feature counts up to 100,000 parts from multiple stock feeds.

Cut Master includes a liquid coolant system delivered to two carbide blade guides, emergency switches, stock rollers, guide rollers, outfeed ramp, outfeed roller, work lamp and blade brush. The following elements are adjustable for high efficiency: vise force, vise opening, blade height, blade drop force, blade drop speed, infeed speed, jogging speed and outfeed drop out.
