Pat Mooney Saws offers the FMB Athena H41A, a dual-column, fully automatic bandsaw for high production. It has two large columns filled with polymer concrete to absorb vibration and support the large cast saw head.
Features include:
- 18" capacity
- 1-1/2" wide saw blade
- Dual column construction
- 10" touchscreen
- FMB SMARTCUT
- Programmable feedrate.
The Athena H41A features FMB's SMARTCUT to automatically adjust the feedrate based on the saw blade's location in the material. The machine automatically slows at the most critical points (when the saw blade first enters the material) and speeds up after the teeth have been buried in the cut.
According to the company, SMARTCUT features include:
- In Automatic mode, the control stores up to 100 programs
- Cut faster without sacrificing saw blade life
- Material library-Enter the material size, shape, and grade, and the machine selects the proper feedrate and saw blade speed
- Save hundreds of programs-Cut length, quantity, saw blade speed, and feedrate
- The feedrate automatically adjusts throughout the cut to optimize blade life and cut time
- Interactive AMP meter.
