Meredith Machinery recently hosted its NT Flex Demo Days at the company's Greenwood, IN, facility, welcoming manufacturers from across Indiana and Kentucky for multiday live demonstrations, technical discussions, and hands-on machining experiences. While the event spotlighted the Nakamura-Tome NT Flex Swiss-type solution, attendees were able to explore a full lineup of advanced CNC technologies running under power.
In addition to the NT Flex demonstrations, the event featured live cutting and application discussions on several high-performance machines, including:
- FANUC Robodrill D28LiB5 paired with a Nikken DDR direct-drive rotary table
- OKK HMC500 HMC
- Takamaz XT-6 turning center
- FANUC Robodrill D28LiB5 with a Koma Dual 5-axis trunnion table
- FANUC Robocut C400iC wire EDM
- MicroDynamics Mega 30VT micro-machining center
- Yasda YMC430 5-axis precision machining center.
This broad equipment lineup allowed attendees to compare performance, explore multiprocess workflows, and evaluate complete machining solutions-from Swiss turning and high-speed milling to EDM and ultra-precision work.
Throughout the two-week event, Meredith Machinery offered dedicated private one-hour demo appointments for each attending company. These individualized sessions allowed manufacturers to bring engineers, operators, programmers, and leadership teams to receive a personalized, one-on-one deep dive with Meredith's applications and technical staff. This exclusive format supported real-time troubleshooting, process evaluation, and tailored recommendations based on each company's specific production goals.
"Our goal was to give our customers meaningful time on the machines," said Robb Wilson, Sales Manager at Meredith Machinery. "When we can show real cutting, real cycle improvements, and answer questions live, people immediately understand the value these platforms bring to their floor."
Meredith Machinery also highlighted its commitment to customer support through local service teams in Indiana, Kentucky, and Puerto Rico, offering fast response times and deep product knowledge across all territories.
The company expressed appreciation to Blaser Swisslube for their ongoing support, noting that reliable coolant performance is a key component of long-term machining stability and process consistency for many of Meredith's customers.
Meredith Machinery also extended special thanks to Methods Machine Tools, whose collaboration, technical expertise, and ongoing partnership continue to elevate events like NT Flex Demo Days. Methods' involvement helps ensure customers receive the most accurate, up-to-date insights into machine capabilities, application solutions, and installation readiness-a critical asset for facilities evaluating new technology.
Attendees additionally explored automation possibilities, turn-key project options, and strategies for consolidating processes or upgrading aging equipment. Many used the open house to evaluate how the NT Flex and companion technologies could expand capabilities or increase throughput.
"This event was extremely valuable for our region," noted Tony Ganser, President of Meredith Machinery Indiana. "Seeing these machines running-not just reading about specifications-helps customers envision solutions that directly impact productivity and profitability."
The event concluded with shop tours, Q&A sessions, and tailored one-on-one discussions focused on each manufacturer's production goals.
