






Enhanced Cutting Efficiency in Demanding Materials

The L.S. Starrett Company offers a wide range of saw blades, including advanced and innovative technology designed to process demanding materials found in steel service centers and more.
Band saw blades include carbide-tipped blades designed for cutting extremely hard materials and bi-metal blades for cutting a full range of ferrous and nonferrous materials, including structural material shapes. Carbide grit and diamond grit blades for abrasive materials are also available, as well as a complete line of carbon blades for cutting softer materials.
Advanced AMP technology, available on Starrett carbide-tipped and bi-metal blades, increases sawing efficiency and blade life. Custom back edge enhancement on the blade generates a rocking motion while cutting, resulting in an increase in tooth penetration without added feed pressure. Starrett saw blade innovations include Extended Life Treatment (EXT) that is applied to the alloy steel backing material of Starrett Primalloy blades. This process, in addition to controlled blast peening, enhances the fatigue life of the blade and will soon be applied to most Starrett bi-metal and carbide tipped blades. Starrett also offers "bi-metal unique," a proprietary technology that provides 170% more weld contact for greater teeth stripping resistance, available on certain Starrett bi-metal blades.
