Tube Saw Features Flexibility

The TC720 can operate as a stand-alone or as part of a fully automated tube processing line.

The TC720 automatic tube saw from BLM GROUP USA is a tube cutting system designed to operate either as a stand-alone unit or as part of a fully automated tube processing line controlled by a single CNC, integrating all downstream functions such as deburring, washing, drying and accumulating.

Operators can use the TC720's programming system to automatically select the optimum parameters for the job at hand. The system has a database covering blade speeds and feeds for different materials, saw blade selection and material feed speed. According to the company, this feature boosts production efficiency and enables complete changeover to be accomplished in less than three minutes with all settings centralized and to scale. No tools or sample tube are needed.

Two length stops can be fitted for the best material optimization and yield and three unloading positions are programmable and can be integrated with downstream deburring, washing and collecting operations.

The material feed system and vise geometry provide for positive clamping of the material during the cutting cycle whether the material is delicate thin walled tube or the tough, thick walled variety.

The CNC saw performs cutting of square and rectangular sections with a slideway mounted cutting head. The cutting head construction, with hardened and ground helical gears and automatic backlash compensation, is intended to provide longer blade life with low noise levels and optimum cut quality on all materials and sections. The TC720's micro-lubrication and turbo-refrigeration features are designed to enhance blade life even under arduous cutting conditions. This also reduces sharpening costs and energy consumption.

The TC720 can be equipped with five or seven stanchion loaders to load tube lengths from 21' 4" to 27' 10" and a 41' version for standard or delicate surface materials. The tube can be loaded while the machine is in operation.
