New Twin Spindle CNC Turning Center

Murata Machinery USA Inc., a provider of high-volume production turning centers, has introduced its new MW120GTEX Twin Spindle CNC lathe.

"The MW120GTEX is a high-accuracy redesign of one of Muratec's most popular machines, the MW120GT twin spindle CNC turning center," said Steve Landrum, North American Sales Manager of Murata Machinery USA's Turning Business Unit. "It offers great performance within a small space and provides exceptional rigidity and high-precision processing with minimal production time."

According to the company, the MW120GTEX features a high-accuracy spindle that is designed for tight tolerance requirements. "The location of the Z-axis ballscrew is centered to improve accuracy and an X-axis box guideway gives the machine added rigidity," said a company spokesperson. "Its two-piece turret coupling also provides greater accuracy, while its twin independent gantries deliver rapid throughput for higher productivity."
