2D Optical Measuring Device

Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik offers its 2D optical measuring device V-CAD rapid - a tool that is designed to be both mobile and compact.

"Thanks to the intuition-based user interface of the M3 measuring software, measurements with V-CAD rapid can be quickly performed," said Uwe J. Keller, Marketing Director of Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik. "The workpiece can be positioned freely in the coverage field, and the measurement process is started with a just a tap of the multi-touch screen of the panel PC. Within a few seconds the device provides comprehensive measurement results, complete with reporting."

According to the company, V-CAD rapid features the following:

  • Automatic recognition of ruled (standard) geometries without pre-selection
  • No need for manual workpiece alignment in the coverage field
  • Four-step motorized zoom lens for reliable measurement even of minute workpiece features
  • Measurement in a matter of seconds
  • High accuracy and precision
  • Mobile design
  • Ready to use: Unpack, switch on and measure.

Standard equipment of V-CAD rapid includes a 5-mega pixel CCD B/W camera and a 4-step motorized zoom lens providing four different fields of view. The device also features a multi-touch panel PC equipped with WIN7, plus a LAN and WLAN network port and telecentric LED transmitted (diascopic) light illumination. It features a granite / aluminum sandwich design, an LED ring light for incident (episcopic) illumination and a factory calibration certificate as a quality proof.

Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik GmbH was founded in 1947 and has its headquarters in Bad Kreuznach, Germany.
