High-Precision Vertical Machining

Part of KNUTH's X.mill T Series, the X.mill T 700 combines robust construction with versatile control options to meet the requirements of modern production, the company reported. It is designed to help manufacturers achieve consistent, high-quality output while optimizing productivity.

The X.mill T 700 features a FEM-optimized frame and extra-wide Y-shaped column that provide rigidity, allowing consistent machining accuracy across a wide range of operations. With positioning accuracy of ±0.005 mm and repeatability of ±0.003 mm, its high-precision components help ensure smooth, dependable motion. This capability enables the machine to take on complex metalcutting tasks while consistently delivering accurate results, the company noted.

Available with either Siemens or FANUC CNC controls, the X.mill T 700 offers adaptability for diverse production environments and operator preferences. The machine also supports a wide range of customization and automation options, allowing manufacturers to configure it to meet specific workflow requirements. Whether integrated into a high-volume series production line or used for specialized tasks, the X.mill T 700 can be tailored to maximize productivity.

Its fully enclosed workspace offers safety and cleanliness, while large access doors simplify set-up and maintenance. The armless 20-station tool changer (with an optional 30-station dual-arm version) keeps tools organized and minimizes downtime during machining. Additionally, the automatic central lubrication system supports consistent performance with minimal operator intervention, helping to extend machine life and reduce maintenance requirements.
