New Multifluid Circular Saw and Dynamic Saw

The new circular saw HCS 180 multifluid from Behringer Eisele is designed for mass cutting performance. Features include a new machine base and optimized chip disposal. The HCS 180 provides workpiece cooling using emulsion and uses a microspray system for saw blade cooling during dry cutting applications.

The circular sawing line is configured for workpiece diameters of up to 180 mm with standard speed range of 20 to 250 RPM.

The saw is capable of wet and dry cutting. A new chip conveyor with integrated coolant reservoir and coolant pump facilitates the disposal of chips and coolant. It can be easily pulled out of the machine for cleaning. "The new saw blade guide with BVA (Blade Vibration Absorber) and active chip cleaning concept extends saw blade lifetime coupled with an improved cutting surface for precise, rapid cuts, whether working wet or dry," said a spokesperson.

As a fully automatic circular saw, the new HCS 180 MF focuses on maximum yield, as well as productivity. A variety of optional infeed and discharge systems and links to magazines and storage systems can be added.

The new HBE Dynamic saw series from Behringer will be demonstrated for the first time at EMO 2013. "Increased performance coupled with reduced energy consumption, a smaller footprint and improved occupational safety without compromising handling simplicity are all features of the HBE Dynamic saw," said CEO Christian Behringer.

Available in four model types - 261, 321, 411 and 511 with corresponding cutting ranges - the new HBE Dynamic series will cover a broad application spectrum for the steel trade, for mechanical engineering, tool making and for metalworking shops.

"With an outstanding tool life of over 400 sawing cuts in 200 mm dia. 42CrMo4 material, the new HBE261A Dynamic performs well above standard. Playing a key role in this achievement are Behringer features such as improved cutting pressure control, which consistently helps prevent tool overload. A stable saw frame made of vibration-damped grey cast iron and double-sided bearings for the band wheels take care of minimized noise and optimum cutting precision. Tests have shown increases in tool life of up to 30 per cent, with a visible improvement to the quality of cut surfaces. The inclined position of the band wheels also helps protect the bandsaw blades as a result of reduced flexural stress," said a company spokesperson.

"With the new HBE Dynamic series, we are using state-of-the-art frequency-controlled drive systems from known manufacturers and application-oriented gear speeds. In the HBE 261A Dynamic, for instance, a saw drive with 2.6 kW permits high machine throughput coupled with a low energy requirement," said the spokesperson.

"The new full machine enclosure not only ensures compliance with the latest CE guidelines, it also addresses growing demands for user convenience, occupational safety and environmental protection. A large observation window affords an excellent view of the machine. The easy-maintenance concept allows simple saw blade changeover and easy access for maintenance and cleaning work," said the spokesperson.
