QVI SNAP from RAM Optical Instrumentation offers a new way to measure small parts. SNAP is a shop floor-hardened machine with a large-field-of-view optical system and high-resolution digital camera that allows it to quickly complete entire part measurements.
"SNAP's performance stands up to harsh industrial conditions such as vibration and excess ambient lighting, making it the ideal shop floor system," said a company spokesperson. "With no moving stage and single button operation, SNAP eliminates the need for complex fixturing and part set-up, while easy-to-use software designed specifically for SNAP enables it to import complex CAD models for effortless programming."
RAM will introduce the new SNAP DM 200 large-field-of-view system at IMTS 2014 in Booth E-5602. SNAP DM 200 offers dual optical magnification for measuring smaller features on a variety of parts.
