Motch & Eichele welcomed more than 275 manufacturing professionals to its second Pigskin Kickoff Open House in August. The event, held at the company's Cuyahoga Falls, OH, facility, showcased cutting-edge machining, metrology, automation and spindle repair solutions tailored to the needs of northern Ohio's manufacturing community.
The Pigskin Kickoff featured live demonstrations of four Mazak machines, Mitutoyo metrology equipment, Takamaz turning centers, Edge bar feeders, Pat Mooney saws, Haimer tooling solutions, Agile Robotics, Ultra Tech Automation systems and Zagar drilling and tapping products. Attendees also engaged with numerous vendors exhibiting the latest manufacturing technologies and innovations.
Educational seminars were a central focus of the event, with industry experts delivering in-depth seminars. Highlights included "Mazak Control Tips for Faster Setups" by Mike Zillich and "The Big Beautiful Bill Breakdown" presented by Amber Thomas, Vice President of Advocacy at AMT, who outlined how new legislation is poised to deliver tax incentives, investment opportunities and financial relief for U.S. manufacturers.
A new tradition was introduced this year with the presentation of the Gold Jacket Award, inspired by the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The inaugural award was presented to QP Manufacturing in recognition of its long-standing partnership with The HEH Group, its commitment to manufacturing excellence and strategic use of the group's machining, automation and service capabilities.
"Events like the Pigskin Kickoff give us a chance to connect directly with the manufacturing community," said Willie Eichele, President of The HEH Group. "From live machine demos to insightful seminars, our customers got to see the best of what The HEH Group has to offer, all while enjoying the fun, football-themed atmosphere."
The Pigskin Kickoff Open House will return in 2027, continuing its rotation with the manufacturing industry's largest trade show, IMTS.
