Allied Machine Showcases T-A Pro Drill Chamfer

Allied Machine and Engineering will highlight its new T-A Pro drill and chamfer holders at Manufacturing Technology Series SOUTHEAST in booth 1829. Designed to simplify set-ups, cut cycle times and drive higher throughput, the T-A Pro drill and chamfer holders combine operations, eliminating the need for secondary operations like chamfering and/or deburring as well as the need for a tool change.

Targeted around thread sizes and compatible with all existing T-A Pro inserts, these drill and chamfer holders offer an easy selection guide for users when choosing the correct drill body and insert combination for the job. With a larger diameter range per drill body, this tool offers more flexibility out of a single drill body without sacrificing performance, according to the company.

Suited for industries such as automotive, heavy equipment and mold and die where threaded holes are numerous, these holders provide a 0.040" (1.0 mm) x 45° (minimum) chamfer for various thread specifications, including: UN | ISO | NPT | NPS | BSPP | BSPT | BSW. While designed for edge breaks and threaded holes, the T-A Pro drill and chamfer can also be used as a pilot drill for extended length holders.
