COFA-X Automates Deburring of Cross Bores with Identical Diameters
November 1, 2025
HEULE Tool has introduced the COFA-X tool for automated deburring cross bores with an identical or nearly identical diameter crossing each other (1:1 ratio), bores that merge into one another, and crossing bores with offset centers.
"Custom-engineered, designed, and built for each customer's specific application, this technology is the only tooling system available for removing burrs consistently from interior uneven bore edges with large intersections, such as valves, fittings, hydraulic manifolds, and other similar components," said a company spokesperson. "They specialize in high production environments that require precision, making COAFA-X ideal for use in the automotive, aerospace, energy, and medical industries."
Based on the design of its COFA tool for standard cross bore applications, COFA-X is engineered for extreme situations that previously required hand deburring. It completely removes secondary burrs. An undercut body design allows offset entry to avoid damage to the cutting blade.
With a carbide blade that gives a complete and burr-free edge break, the COFA-X comes pre-assembled with spring-loaded geometry for either front or back cutting.
