WALTER has announced three new high-performance angle grinders designed to meet the rugged demands of industrial metalworking. The latest additions include two new BRUSHLESS models-SUPER 5 PS BRUSHLESS and BIG 6 PS BRUSHLESS-and the versatile BIG 6 PLUS variable speed grinder.

With advanced brushless motor technology, the SUPER 5 PS BRUSHLESS and BIG 6 PS BRUSHLESS grinders are designed for maximum efficiency with minimal heat buildup.

"Offering the best power-to-weight ratio in their class, these brushless grinders deliver 3x the service life by reducing the costly downtime associated with routine brush changes, 2x the material removal rate, and consume 20% less energy when compared to traditional corded grinders," said a company spokesperson. For jobs that require adaptability, the BIG 6 PLUS offers variable speed control powered by a 1,700 W high-torque motor. This allows users to adapt easily to a wide range of applications, including large diameter brushing, sanding, blending, and cutting. Usable torque combined with 6" discs maintain speed, maximize disc life and improve surface finish, the company reported. Users can fine-tune performance to match the application, improving results while extending disc and brush life.
