Expanded Modular Tombstone Line for Efficient Horizontal Machining

5th Axis, Inc. has unveiled its expanded modular tombstone line engineered to transform horizontal machines into modular, highly efficient production systems. Options are available in RockLock and Machinable tombstones.
Tombstone options:
- RockLock Tombstones:
- Ba se sizes: 300 mm, 400 mm, 500 mm
- Heights: 400 mm, 510 mm, 638 mm
- Machinable Tombstones:
- Configurations: 3- or 4-sided
- Base sizes: 300 mm, 400 mm, 500 mm
- Heights: 500 mm, 700 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm
Both options are offered in steel or aluminum.
RockLock Tombstone features:
- 96 mm RockLock quick-change mechanism enables rapid switching between set-ups, reducing downtime and boosting productivity. The 96 mm interface provides a secure, repeatable lock for consistent accuracy.
- RockLock Zero-Point System allows for quick mounting and locating of tooling or workholding, utilizing industry-standard 52 mm or 96 mm pull stud spacing.
- Flexible configuration compatible with a wide range of fixtures and vises, allowing users to tailor set-ups to meet specific project needs. Suitable for both small-batch and high-volume production.
- Easy integration seamlessly integrates with existing machinery and simplifies set-up for a faster production start. The user-friendly design supports even complex configurations with minimal effort.
Machinable Tombstones features:
- Customize each side to machine different parts-suitable for R&D, prototyping, and high-mix, low-volume production.
- Maximize the number of parts per cycle.
