The new Heckert H100 compact machining center is an economical alternative to many large machining centers. It can also be used to machine large and heavy parts with a relatively small footprint.
The Heckert H100 compact machine concept simplifies automation with its extended clamping hydraulics and streamlined interfaces to pallet storage systems and robot cells.
Starrag has announced the addition of the Heckert H100 compact machining center to the Heckert HEC series. With a pallet size of 39" (1,000 mm), it will replace the previous Heckert HEC 1000 4-axis center. The Heckert H50 to H100 compact machines offer high precision, performance, and speed in a small footprint.
The new Heckert H100 has dimensions of 350" x 181" (8,900 mm x 4,600 mm) with travels of 69" (1,750 mm) on the X-axis, 51" (1,300 mm) on the Y-axis, and 55" (1,400 mm) on the Z-axis. As an option, the Y-travel can be extended up to 55" (1,400 mm) and the Z-travel can be extended up to 71" (1,800 mm). The displacement circle diameter is 79" (2,000 mm).
The Heckert H100 is suitable for large parts and, with a loading weight of 8,818 lb. (4,000 kg), is also suitable for heavy parts that would otherwise have to be machined on a large machining center.
The new Heckert H100 compact machine offers improvements over the HEC 1000. It is easier to automate due to extended clamping hydraulics and simplified interfaces to pallet storage systems and robot cells. Improved integration into the customer's infrastructure was also taken into consideration with central connections for technological cold water, cooling lubricant, and data exchange. There is also a larger selection of spindles and much more.
The Heckert H100 compact machining center offers tailor-made solutions for highly productive machining, particularly in the area of commercial vehicles and in high-precision mechanical engineering.
